Collection: Vintage vs Modern Telecaster® Bridge Plates
Wondering if the Certano T-Bender™ fits your Telecaster®? The T-Bender is meant to be a direct replacement for most vintage spec Telecaster bridges and is not compatible with modern spec Tele bridge applications without modification. There are 2 simple ways to tell which will fit properly!
1st) You can check by measuring the distance between the top pickup mount hole and the thru-body string holes on the plate. If the distance measures 71mm, you have a vintage spec plate. If the distance measures 66mm, you have a Modern (American Standard) bridge plate.
2nd) If the string-thru body holes on your Telecaster® bridge plate are BEHIND the mounting screw holes, you have a vintage-style Telecaster® bridge. However, if the string-thru body holes on your Telecaster® bridge plate are INFRONT of the mounting screw holes, you have a “Modern” (commonly referred to as American Standard) Telecaster® bridge.
